Sonic Rainbow
Join India Sky (Brooklyn) and PAIX (Glasgow) for an evening of music performance at the end of the rainbow. An accompaniment to India Sky’s solo exhibition The Life Cycle of Rainbows, both artists will perform their respective original music as well as a collaborative work created in response to the exhibition. India Sky’s set will include songs featured in The Life Cycle of Rainbows, and the video installation will run for a portion of the evening in order for guests to experience the film (run time 26 min).
As part of this exhibition the gallery space is painted black and the space features low lighting. There are three large projection screens in which the film is played and the music will be played at a medium level of sound. The exhibition also includes sculptures and a large text vinyl on the wall, these elements are lit with spotlights. The film is half an hour in duration and plays on loop. There is seating in the gallery in the form of square plinths. If you require seating with backs we have foldable chairs that can be set out to accommodate you further.
